Electronic unit manufacturers, primarily server manufacturers, are constantly striving to take advantage of as much rack space as possible in their designs, particularly in the case of 1U and 2U servers.   As these servers become wider to allow for more internal components like PC cards, memory units to be fitted within servers; the amount of side space available for mounting reduces accordingly. Designed primarily for 1U high (45mm/1.75”) 19” rack electronic units, servers, keyboard trays, fan trays and 2U (3.5”) high servers.
